Wooden box

Painted with acrylic, polished with wood varnish.

After almost five silent months, CWA is back. For now, I present you another wooden box hand-painted with acrylic.

Some special content will arise soon, an important substance that I worked for about three months, both conceptual and practical.

Atmospheric nostlagia

In a significant sense, the powerful lines and shades which the charcoal leave behind on the drawing (or painting) support presents a big advantage when creating a fast drawing, charged with deep and strong ambiance.

Both drawings represent an exercise, day by day we have to make sure to work even in small proportions in order to develop our skills, in any areas. First one is inspired from a step-by-step drawing book, as a model I used the reference image. Second drawing was inspired by Romanian great artist: Theodor Aman ‘s ( b. 1831 –  d. 1891 ) engraving called ,, Halt at field work,, [1875]

An illustration made after the monument dedicated to the heroes who sacrificed for the Romanian people at Romanatzi(the name is from interwar period) during the Great War. This “temple” (because it is inscribed aswell on the back of the monument) is located in Olt County, more precisely in Caracal town.
Being finished at the end of 1926, the monument holds a strong and sincere spiritual charge, embracing the TRADITIONAL visual art works.
